This is the best recipe ever for Brussel Sprouts. The Apple sweetens them up and the crushed red pepper give it a bit of a heat (depending on how much you use). - 1 pound brussel sprouts
- 1 tablespoon garlic olive oil
- .33 cup red peppers juilenne cut
- .33 cup apples sliced, can substitute red onion
- .25 cup apple juice
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper add more to taste

Heat Oil in nonstick skillet (med. high). Add Peppers & Apple to pan. While the peppers & apple are cooking, cut the brussel sprouts in half, then add to pan. Add apple juice & Crushed Red Pepper, stirring gently. Reduce heat, cover and let simmer til the brussel sprouts are tender and juice has evaporated, approx 10-15 minutes.
OPTION 2:
Preheat an oven to 375 degrees. Stir the Brussels sprouts, Apple, Red Pepper together with apple cider, olive oil, and crushed pepper in a baking dish until evenly mixed. Bake in preheated oven until Brussels sprouts are tender, about 20 minutes.
