5 Reasons the iPad will revolutionize education
My personal opinion is that not unlike the iPhone 1.0 (which was exceptionally limited without an AppStore or 3G), the iPad 1.0 will become a bit of a status symbol as a “bleeding-edge” early adopter, but is not a completely fleshed out product. The ramifiations are exciting for education and other e-reader/tablet markets, and also like the later (and future) iterations of the iPhone, I expect the iPad to dominate the e-reader and home tablet markets (I spent a lot of time looking at these devices at CES, and while many were innovative and exciting, nothing comes close to the promises of the iPad coupled with Apple’s brand and ability to leverage relationships with content providers, i.e. publishers). Time will tell, and I’m excited to get my hands on one.
